Following on from the success of last year's campaign, service providers and practitioners throughout the region are celebrating their second South West Supported Housing Month from 1 to 31 March.
Service providers, practitioners and commissioners are again joining forces to showcase the impact of the sector in the region. With the removal of the ringfence around Supporting People funding and local authorities facing tough funding decisions in the current economic climate, it's more important than ever that service providers stand together to shout out about the work that they do.
Key messages for the campaign are:
- Around 650 organisations provide housing support services in the south west
- In the south west alone, supported housing provides more than 2,800 services
- Nearly 103,000 people benefit from our services in the region
- Every pound spent on Supporting People saves £2.12 on other public services
