Short listed entries announced

East Thames, Starting Point

Gateway Housing Association, New Dynamics of Ageing - Guildhall Connect Creative Music Workshop

Poplar HARCA, Youth Empowerment Board

What happens now?

Entries are now closed and this year we received  a very impressive 192 entries across all regions (and change for regional page '29 for the London Region').  Our regional tenant judges read through all entries and selected the above 3 for the London Regions short list.

The 3 organisations above will be asked to attend the London Region Awards Lunch to give a short presentation on their project.  The attendees at the event will vote to decide the regional winner who will then go forward to the national judging, with the chance of becoming the overall winner or highly commended finalist.

The London Region Awards Lunch will be held on Friday 9th July.  For further information see the event page here.

A panel of regionally representative judges, including one representative from each of our sponsors Campbell Tickell Ltd and Morrison Facilities Ltd, will meet in July to select the national winner and the highly commended finalist of the What We Are Proud Of Awards 2010.

These will be announced on the afternoon of 23 September 2010 at the National Housing Federation’s Annual Conference.

The national winner will receive £1,000 and the highly commended finalist will receive £500. The prize fund is available to the national winner and highly commended finalist to directly reinvest in their winning projects only. An agreement will be signed by the winners confirming this.

London Regional Winner 2009

Yarrow Housing - ‘My Life, My Voice, My Choice’

Yarrow’s 220 tenants are adults with learning disabilities and live in registered care homes, independent and supported living schemes. Introducing multi-media profiling for their tenants has helped individuals to better communicate their wants and needs, and celebrates a person’s strengths, focusing on the positive and small achievements in their daily lives that might otherwise go unacknowledged
