Delivering on the substance

Delivering on the substance is crucial. The most compelling shared story and strongest relationships with politicians mean nothing if we don’t deliver on our purpose.

At the Owning our Future roadshows, housing associations debated what this means in practice. It came down to three key things.

Back up our story with evidence

Housing associations do fantastic work – we just don’t always have the evidence to back that up. There’s now a range of new tools to change that: a hub for public housing stats at Housing Counts, a Local Economic Impact Calculator, and, for the first time, comprehensive data on the number of homes we build. Find out how you can use and contribute to this evidence.

Deliver on what matters to stakeholders

We also need to really deliver on the areas that matter to stakeholders: supply, quality, efficiency, innovation and creating strong, thriving communities. Find out how you can get involved in enhancing and evidencing the sector’s offer.

Create great places to live

At heart, it all comes down to creating great places to live - the central theme of the sector’s vision for the future, Ambition to Deliver. We’ve launched a refreshed edition of this document and a new web resource to generate ideas and debate about what that means to you. Join the conversation and read the new publication.
