Arrival of IFRS-style accounting imminent
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has continued to develop its proposals for the transition to IFRS-style accounting. As a result, the Federation will be hosting a series of IFRS roadshows across the country in autumn 2012 to help housing associations implement these changes.
On 1 April 2012 the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) was abolished and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) took over as the regulator of social housing.
