Get on Board is a scheme that aims to
match skilled and experienced candidates to board member vacancies
within the housing sector.
Get on Board - what does it involve?
As they are responsible for two million homes and house
five million people, housing associations need skilled volunteers
to help provide dynamic governance for their organisations. The
time commitment can be variable but will be the equivalent of one
day a month, mainly to attend meetings. Very few housing
associations pay board members, apart from their out-of-pocket
expenses, such as travelling and childcare costs.
- Do you you think people should be able to live in
neighbourhoods where they feel safe, secure and fulfilled?
