Supply Roundtable - Securing the development skills we need to build more homes

9:45am - 1:00pm, 15 July 2019
National Housing Federation, Lion Court, 25 Procter St, Holborn, London WC1V 6NY

This session will bring together housing association leaders from across the country to explore that challenge in more detail and ask what we can do as a sector to ensure a pipeline of talented development staff.

Throughout our supply conversation, members told us that securing the skills and experience needed in development teams to build many more homes was a key challenge for the sector.

This session will bring together housing association leaders from across the country to explore that challenge in more detail and ask what we can do as a sector to ensure a pipeline of talented development staff.

  • examples of best practice, innovation and collaboration in skills development from around the country
  • developing new sector-wide initiatives to develop skills. What could we learn from other sectors?
  • how do we recruit, train and retain talented development staff as a sector?
