The deadline has closed for members to submit their completed equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) data tool. We would like to say a big thank you to members who submitted their EDI workforce data and contributed to building the first-ever national picture of workforce diversity in the social housing sector.
Overall, 176 EDI data tools were submitted by member housing associations, representing 81% of homes from across the sector in England. By contributing to our national project, members have ensured their staff are included and each organisation is playing its part in this important project.
We will be collating all data tools, for all nine protected characteristics and socio-economic background.
The analysis will include a summary of national workforce data by characteristic, executive data by characteristic, and board data by characteristic. We will then compare this data to the population by stock location, to see how representative the workforce is of population by stock location.
The data collected will be used to measure where we are as a sector because we want the housing workforce to be representative of the communities that we work with. We will also use the data to track our progress going forwards to improve EDI across the sector.
The EDI data collected will be used to measure where we are as a sector to ensure that our overall housing workforce is representative of the communities that we work with and track our progress going forwards. This data will help us begin to track the impact of work to improve EDI across the sector to become more diverse and inclusive.
At this event, we’ll be revealing the first ever sector-wide analysis of EDI data using results from our data tool. We’re inviting senior sector leaders who are looking to be part of a challenging and productive conversation that is aimed at driving positive change.
The event will be held on Thursday 9 December 2021 and you can book a ticket for in person in London or online.
Virtual delegates will have access to the same content as those in London. If you would like to attend the event in London, we have limited numbers available due to reduced capacity at the venue. We can only offer two places per organisation although more spaces are available virtually.
