Housing associations can make a big contribution to the health agenda, reveals this report for strategic decision makers in the NHS.
29 March 2011
'Invest in housing, invest in health' shows the contribution housing associations can make to the health agenda.
Using case studies from across the West Midlands, East Midlands and East of England, it demonstrates:
- the cost savings that projects carried out in partnership with housing associations can make to the NHS
- how services improve the health outcomes for individuals and communities
- how services reduce health inequalities in deprived areas and cuts the costs of acute services.
We encourage strategic decision makers in the NHS to consider the benefits of investing in these services.
