Our response to the government freezing energy bills

Kate Henderson, Chief Executive of the National Housing Federation, said:

"We're pleased to see the government step in to ensure that households and businesses will be protected from increasingly unaffordable energy costs, which would have plunged many families into poverty.

"We're particularly pleased to see that the help will be extended to the 400,000 households using heat networks, and to organisations - like housing associations which provide supported housing - who are struggling with their own energy bills. We are keen to work with the government on the detail of implementation."
