Federation consulting with members and other interested parties how new accounting rules should be applied across the sector.
In this challenging economic environment, keep up to date with our work on accounting, risk and regulation, financial management, private finance and taxation.
Finance policy covers all areas of investment and financial business modelling, financial management, treasury and the raising and use of private finance, taxation, accounting, assurance and the regulatory environment, as well as hosting seminars and conferences in each of these areas as they relate to the work of our members. We also work to maintain good relationships with our members' key lenders.
The finance team prepares our annual submission to the budget which has resulted in significant wins for the Federation in recent years, for instance on stamp duty land tax and corporation tax. The work covered by the team also includes updating the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP): accounting by registered social housing providers and the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards by English housing associations.
