Rural Housing Week

Rural Housing Week aims to highlight the important role that affordable housing plays in keeping rural communities vibrant.

Rural Housing Week includes a programme of events, meetings and other activity to celebrate affordable housing in the countryside and raise some of the important issues facing rural England.

The Federation produces action packs to help housing associations plan and run events - posted on this page in the run-up to Rural Housing Week

The dates of the next Rural Housing Week in 2012 have not yet been announced - please check back here for updates!

About Rural Housing Week

.

The main aim of Rural Housing Week is to provide an opportunity to discuss affordable rural housing with local politicicans and media. We want to raise the profile of rural housing and the issues preventing more homes being built, and to promote the work housing associations in rural communities throughout the country.

The Federation supports Rural Housing Week by coordinating the schedule of events, promoting the week in the media and supporting housing associations taking part.

Can you organise an event for Rural Housing Week?

We also publish a calendar of events for the week as we find out about what is being organised - so please tell us what you are planning so we can add it to the calendar!

Resources from the campaign pack will also be available separately for convenience, including editable Word versions of the template letter and press release.
