This briefing outlines the announcements made in the Housing White Paper and the potential impact they have on housing associations.
15 February 2017
The Housing White Paper proposes a number of changes that will help reshape the approach to housebuilding and boost the nation’s housing supply. These changes are centred around four areas, corresponding to the chapters in the White Paper:
- Planning for the right homes in the right places
- Building homes faster
- Diversifying the market
- Helping people now.
This briefing outlines the key features and new announcements under each of these areas, and the potential impact on housing associations. It also updates on next steps and how the Federation plans to respond to the white paper consultation.
