About the South regionsSouth region logos

The National Housing Federation in the South covers the:

  • South East

  • South West

Nineteen percent of the country’s affordable housing stock is located in the South West and South East regions of England. Guided by two elected regional committees and supported by our colleagues at national head office, the South region offices are well placed to meet specific regional priorities. We identify local issues, working with around 430 members and other partners across the South to help meet housing need.

The South East administrative base is located at our national offices at Lion Court in London. The South West office operates from Bristol.

Our activities include:

  • Facilitating interest forums or groups which discuss and debate issues, helping to inform the policy agenda and promote good practice.
  • Representing and promoting our members' interests to local, regional, national government and media.
  • Producing quarterly newsletters to keep members and partners informed of news and initiatives.
  • Meeting regularly and working closely with our regional partners to help deliver affordable housing.
  • Organising conferences and events for networking, training and information.
  • Acting as a resource for information and contacts.

Regional committees

The South Region is managed by the South east and South west regional committees. The main purposes of these committees are to be the unified voice and focus for the National Housing Federation members in the region; to give advice and guidance to officers of the National Housing Federation on policy and operational matters; to act as the channel for communication and consultation between the National Housing Federation and its members in the region and to uphold and promote the work and values of the National Housing Federation.
