A proud family-friendly workplace

It's important that our colleagues can balance childcare or other caring responsibilities with their career. Our policies are designed to support anyone with those responsibilities, and to make the Federation a fair, inclusive workplace.

These include:

  • Maternity, adoption and paternity leave: We offer enhanced maternity and shared parental leave and pay packages for staff who have been with us for the qualifying period.
  • Parental leave: If you have children under 18, and one year’s service, we offer 18 weeks (four weeks per year) of unpaid leave per child.
  • Tax-Free Childcare: If you use childcare, like a nursery or after school club, you can participate in the Government’s Tax-Free Childcare scheme.
  • Domestic/special leave: Paid leave is available for anyone that experiences a breakdown of normal childcare arrangements, carer responsibilities or a sudden illness or bereavement related to a close family member.
