Our offer for board members

Find out how the NHF can support housing association board members to deliver for their organisations and promote excellence in the sector.

Board members play a pivotal role in ensuring that housing associations are well run, effective and deliver on their mission. Making sure that board members are supported to do this is important for the reputation of the sector and for ensuring we can continue to provide high-quality homes, enable communities to thrive and build strong relationships with residents.

Housing association board members attract passionate, highly skilled people – but housing is a complex, ever-changing world. At the NHF, we’ve been working closely with board members to develop ways that we can support you in your role to better understand the sector, develop a network of peers and further your skills and expertise to tackle business critical issues.

Below you can find out more about what we offer board members, including more information on the Board Member National Network, events, publications, resources, and how to sign up for the quarterly Board Bulletin via email.

Board Member National Network

The new quarterly National Board Member Network brings housing association board members from across the country together online to debate the big strategic issues affecting the sector.

Each network meeting will focus on a key topic, from sustainability to building safety or equality, diversity and inclusion. Hear key updates from the NHF on our work and from other housing associations on their approach. You’ll also have the opportunity to put your questions to the speakers and take part in discussion groups to share your ideas.
