South East Standing Board

The South East Standing Board is made up of ten members drawn from housing associations across the region. Its remit is to engage members and stakeholders in the South East in the work of the National Housing Federation, and to shape the South East Leaders' Forum.

A standard term on the South East Standing Board is three years, and no member may serve more than two consecutive terms. If you are interested in joining the standing board please contact Eve.

South East Leaders' Forum

This is a new quarterly event for senior executives from housing associations operating in the South East, to provide input into the Federation’s work. Meetings will focus on national themes, such as the Green Paper on Social Housing, but with feedback from a regional point of view. It will also provide space for networking with key housing leaders in the South East.

Communications Network

Contacts are key for any communications professional. The South East communications network is a forum for members to share expertise and good practice from across the South East, whilst being proactive in highlighting the excellent work of housing associations. The group meets at the Federation’s offices in Lion Court, London.

Development

The South East Development group meet regularly to discuss development issues in the region and share experience and innovation. The group is an opportunity to hear from peers and from speakers from Homes England, the Federation and other relevant organisations.

London and South East Asset Management Group

This group is a network for asset management professionals across both regions, with regular meetings to share ideas and experience, hear from external speakers and to shape Federation policy.

The topics covered by the group are led by the interests of members and items of topical interest, but include quality of existing homes, building safety, carbon management and sustainability, fuel poverty, procurement and contract management, data management and future tech.

The group meets in the Federation’s offices in Lion Court, London, and is free to attend.

London and South East Finance Group

Strategic forum for finance practitioners to discuss key sector issues. Recent agenda items have included TSA value for money standard and alternative sources of finance.

London and South East Housing Management Group

Federation contact: Sarah-Jane Gay

Information sharing and practical forum for housing management issues in London - with a focus on mixed tenure management. Recent agenda items have included mixed tenure management and implications of welfare reform.

Home Ownership Group

The South East home ownership group meets quarterly to discuss and address both strategic and operational issues faced by housing associations working within the wide range of home ownership services. Meetings are held at the Federation's offices at Lion Court, London.

Smaller housing associations forum

Federation contact: Eve McMahon

If the housing association you work for has up to 1000 units, this is for you. Whether you're on the board or are a member of staff, join this forum to share information and network, hear from expert speakers on current topics and debate and discuss the key issues. Three half-day seminars are held each year at Easthampstead Park Conference Centre in Bracknell, Berkshire.

Health, care and supported housing group

Federation contact: Eve McMahon

The South East health, care and supported housing group meets quarterly in London and is attended by chief executives and directors in the region. Meetings include presentations from external stakeholders, provide a forum for discussion about topical strategic issues, and are attended by Federation staff to provide timely updates on emerging policy changes.
