Join our Delivering Great Homes national group

Would you like to help shape the way the Federation and the sector respond to the urgent need to build more new affordable homes, and the ever-changing political and operating environment for new supply?

About the group

The Delivering Great Homes group shapes, informs and influences our work on new supply and development. The group supports us by developing and testing new policy ideas, gathering vital market intelligence, informing our responses to government and other key stakeholders; and taking the lead on pieces of work on behalf of the sector.

The Delivering Great Homes group is not a governance mechanism, so the onus is on discussion, debate and engagement, rather than lengthy papers and minutes. What we will promise you in return is a dynamic space in which to contribute to Federation policy thinking and thought leadership, with high quality facilitation and support from our staff.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking to recruit up to four new members to fill vacancies in this well-established group. When considering applications we’ll be keen to improve the diversity of our group, and recruit at least one member from the east of England. We are also keen to hear from housing associations of all sizes, and organisations who develop supported housing.

What you’re committing to

We ask all members to attend at least 3 of the 4 meetings held each year. They are usually in London but occasionally elsewhere in the country. We also ask group members to respond to email requests for information or feedback between meetings. For full details please see the Terms of Reference below.

How to apply

To apply, please complete the application form below and return to admin.team@housing.org.uk by Wednesday 29 January.

Please note that the next meeting will take place on Monday 24 February between 10am and 12pm at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly hotel (this is immediately before our annual Development and Regeneration conference).

For an informal chat about the group and its work, feel free to get in touch with Will Jeffwitz, Policy Leader.
