The Great Places Commission came together in March 2018 to understand what makes a place great, and consider how housing associations, working with national and local government and other partners, can help make these a reality.
In August, the Commission, supported by the Federation, published a major new piece of research, which makes 10 recommendations about the role housing associations can play in delivering and supporting great places. These range from calling for a new £10bn Great Places regeneration fund to identifying new ways in which housing associations can collaborate in every part of our country to maximise our contribution to each community.
Led by Commissioner, Mark Henderson, the chief executive of Home Group, and Katie Teasdale, head of member relations at the Federation, this webinar will share with you the Commission’s recommendations, case studies and innovative ideas about how we, as housing associations, can provide leadership and resources to create places where people choose to live, work and play.
