Housing associations are ambitious to keep providing quality homes and building great communities, but they’ll need brilliant board members to guide them towards their goals.
Housing has become one of the most important political issues in recent years, with high expectations from the Government, the regulator and the public. If you’re new to the sector and you’d like a firmer grip on the housing world, join the National Housing Federation at our next board member induction event on 10 January in Manchester.
You’ll hear from:
- Your local Assistant Director Regulatory Operations from the Regulator of Social Housing, on the operating environment and key regulation issues
- David Taylor-Smith, Assistant Director Regulatory Operations
- Your local External Affairs Manager at the National Housing Federation, on our role as your trade body and what good governance looks like
- Local housing association chair on the key skills you’ll need to be a successful board member.
There’ll be ample time for questions and discussion throughout the event, as well as a chance to meet other new board members to start developing your networks.
This briefing content is best suited to newly appointed board members, though all board members are welcome. Prior registration is required.
