A chance to understand government priorities on homelessness, hear about successful homelessness prevention and contribute to housing association and local government work on ending homelessness.
It is nearly two years since the Homelessness Reduction Act came into force and we are almost 18 months into the Duty to Refer.
Last year, the National Housing Federation and the Local Government Association used the new legislation as a driver for deeper cooperation and showcased examples of effective joint working between housing associations and local authorities.
While the government looks at the effects of the Homelessness Reduction Act, the Federation and the LGA invite you to an even that will allow you to:
- understand government priorities
- analyse housing associations’ own Commitment to Refer
- contribute to housing association and local government work on ending homelessness
- encourage future cooperation between local authorities and housing associations.
