The Federation has been working hard on an important piece of work, Together with Tenants, aimed at creating a stronger, more balanced relationship with tenants and residents.
This is part of response to some of the important questions facing our sector, for example are tenants and residents listened to when things go wrong with their home, and do they have the chance to influence decisions that are made about their home?
Following the conversations we've been having with members, tenants, residents and stakeholders over the last year, we've produced a draft plan setting out the changes we think we need to make to create this stronger relationship and how we ensure, as a sector, we value the voice and experience of tenants and residents.
From 20 February until 19 April we will be consulting on the draft plan – talking to tenants, residents, housing associations and stakeholders – ensuring the plan and how it is put into action is shaped by as many different views as possible. As part of this consultation and to make sure we engage with as many housing associations as possible we will be holding a webinar for housing association staff, residents and boards.
This webinar will feature a presentation from Jacqui McKinlay, Chief Executive of the Centre for Public Scrutiny and will be chaired by Catherine Ryder, Policy Head at the National Housing Federation.
This webinar is open and free for all housing association tenants and members of the National Housing Federation but prior booking is required. If you’re not sure you’ll be able to join us on the day, it’s still worth booking your place because we'll send you a recording of the webinar afterwards.
