Homes for Britain is going to Parliament for the first time – help us maximise our campaign by asking your MP to meet us.
To make sure Homes for Britain has the greatest impact possible, it’s paramount that we get MPs and members of the House of Lords to back our call for an end to the housing crisis within a generation. So, on Tuesday 4 November we will be taking the campaign to them by hosting a Homes for Britain ‘drop-in’ event in Parliament.
The session will be a chance for MPs to pop by a room in Portcullis House for an informal one-to-one overview of the campaign and ideas about how they can show their support publicly. They’ll even have the opportunity to have their picture taken on the day, holding up a campaign sign.
The more MPs we meet, the better! So, we would be really grateful if you could help us by emailing your MP before Tuesday lunchtime and urge them to attend. As a constituent, an invite from you holds greater weight and shows that we already have support among the public. We have drafted an email to help you, but with room for you to explain why this is important to you to make it even more effective.
To email your MP, go to www.writetothem.com and enter your postcode. Select your MP from the list and paste the letter into the box that appears, including your personalised section, and fill out your details at the bottom.
Make sure that these details are those for your home address and personal email, so your MP knows you’re definitely a constituent.
