2019/20 is a 53-week rent year for housing associations with weekly rents due on Mondays, and whose rental year starts on the first Monday in April.
This affects rent regulation and how the rent cut requirement is applied. It will also affect how Universal Credit payments are calculated. Our briefing outlines how this will work in practice.
