Could changes to the tax system help your organisation do more?

We’re collecting your input for a review by the Charity Tax Commission.

28 March 2018

The independent Charity Tax Commission is looking at whether the taxes charities pay, and the reliefs they receive, can be modernised to help organisations – including housing associations – make an even greater contribution to society.

This is the first review of its kind in 20 years, and the Commission is keen to hear how housing associations are affected by the current system.

The Commission is collecting evidence for its review through a call for evidence. We will submit a response on behalf of members with the support of Deloitte, our tax advisors. Please send any comments or input by 30 May to Will Jeffwitz.

Your input will enable the Commission to better understand how charities are affected and make recommendations to the Government on how to make the system more efficient and effective for organisations like yours.
