The Government has published a consultation on the future delivery of support to victims and their children in accommodation-based domestic abuse services in England.
29 May 2019
The consultation, available on the Government’s website, includes the introduction of a statutory duty on local authorities to provide support that meets the diverse needs of victims of domestic abuse and their children, ensuring they have access to provision that is right for them.
The Government is seeking views on:
- the definition of accommodation-based services and support
- leadership and responsibilities
- local and national accountability
We are currently seeking our members’ views on this consultation, so please get in touch if your organisation would like to feed into our response.
If your organisation is planning to submit its own consultation, please note that the deadline is 2 August 2019.
