How housing providers can work with local authorities on rough sleeping

Local and national government have also shown leadership in bringing rough sleepers indoors, and now the government have announced funding for move on. Many housing associations are keen to build on this momentum to help move people into permanent homes, providing the social housing and support needed to end wider homelessness. 

Our second new resource sets out how you could work with local authorities to make accommodation available to people moving on from temporary accommodation, former rough sleepers and those who were in inappropriate shared accommodation.

How housing providers and refuges can work together

We have been working in partnership with DAHA, Women’s Aid and the Chartered Institute of Housing on a simple initiative to bring the housing sector and refuges together to get domestic abuse survivors who are ready for move on right now into a safe home.

We’ve jointly produced a new resource that outlines what housing providers and refuges can do together, to help survivors move into a settled home.
