Applications to join the Social Housing Resident Panel now open

Residents of social housing can now apply to join the government’s Social Housing Resident Panel, with applications open until 7 September 2025.  

The panel is made up of 250 social housing residents from across the country, who advise the government and ministers on social housing policies from a resident’s perspective. These policies include social housing regulations, as well as measures to meet the government’s aim of delivering the biggest increase in social housing in a generation.  

It’s important that residents' views are heard through these changes, and panel members will contribute their ideas through focus groups, online communities and meetings. 

Residents of social housing across England can apply to join the panel. Residents do not need to have any experience of taking part in resident engagement before.  

Applications are open until 7 September 2025, via a short online form. We support the resident-led panel and would encourage our members to share this opportunity with their residents. Successful applicants will join the panel this autumn.
