How will new regulatory standards impact the way we collect and use our data in housing?

The National Housing Federation aims to show leadership on equality, diversity and inclusion, driving action to create a sector that better represents our communities and where all people have equal opportunity to thrive.

We launched our second report: How diverse is England’s housing association workforce in 2023 in September this year and have a series of round table discussions planned with members between January and March 2024 to look at regional variations in the data and find out more about what organisations are doing to create more inclusive workforces to build trust and tailor their services that reflect the growing diversity of their residents and stakeholders.

The Better Social Housing Review placed a significant focus on addressing structural inequalities, particularly concerning race which serves as a fundamental theme in the recommendations. In addition, new consumer standards are placing increased importance on the need to deliver more equitable services based on a deeper understanding of the diverse needs of our stakeholders and residents.

The EDI agenda is gathering momentum and cuts across everything we do. To help members understand the importance of the data we collect and how it can be used to shape our service provision the NHF is hosting a free to attend in-person EDI event in London on Thursday 21 March 2024.

Spaces are limited to 75, so for now our preference is that no more than one person from each housing association should sign-up to attend.

The event will be an opportunity for us to meet one another in person, to network, learn from and share with one another. We’ll be welcoming expert speakers, having interactive workshop style sessions, and plenty of time for lunch and networking.

By attending, you’ll make valuable connections with sector colleagues and have the opportunity to learn from peers.
