In 2016, 100% of the energy provided by Green Star Energy was generated from renewable sources, and the average carbon content of the electricity supplied came far below the UK average.
In addition to its standard plan, Green Star offers a Green Saver tariff. For each person that takes up the Green Saver, the company plant two broad-leaved trees on school sites across the UK, offsetting carbon emissions and contributing to the protection of wildlife habitats for many years to come.
