Our early adopters

Lessons from early adopters

We invited our housing association members to join the Together with Tenants initiative as an ‘early adopter’ in 2019. This process involved testing the Together with Tenants charter, working in partnership with residents to understand how it could be implemented, and involving residents in meaningful oversight.

In April 2019, a cohort of 130 early adopter organisations was established. We engaged an external research consortium to work with the early adopters and capture their learnings over the course of a six-month testing period.

You can read the findings from this process in our early adopter report, which provides further detail on:

  • How adopters used the charter with residents, colleagues, boards and partners.
  • Barriers to involvement.
  • Diversity and inclusive practice.

We've been gathering blogs from around the sector on how housing associations have been using Together with Tenants with their residents. We will update the space below as we publish new blogs that might be useful.
