We are exploring ideas for how a supported lettings system like London’s Clearing House could work in other areas.

The Government has been talking to us about whether housing associations could expand the Clearing House outside of London to create supported lettings systems around the country.
Clearing House is an initiative to provide supported housing to people with a history of sleeping rough, in which housing associations put forward void bedsits and one-bed flats, specifically to help this vulnerable group.
This is just the start of the conversation and we are keen to hear members views on how this might work. Our briefing sets out the background to the existing Clearing House and asks questions about the issues around expanding the system.
