Housing Matters podcast: Rural Housing Matters

To mark Rural Housing Week, this episode explores the work of housing associations in rural communities.

4 July 2018

First Katie Teasdale talks to Monica Burns, External Affairs Manager at National Housing Federation and Martin Collett, Operations Director at English Rural Housing and Chair of the Rural Housing Alliance, about Rural Housing Week, the 5 star plan for housing associations, and how we can all come together to help.

Katie also takes a visit to a little known farm in Somerset to talk to local farmer (and Glastonbury Festival founder) Michael Eavis and Ben Cane, Head of Development - New Business (West) from Guinness Partnerships. Together they talk about how Guinness have worked closely with Michael to develop new affordable homes for the village of Pilton, and why Michael feels this is a greater personal legacy than Glastonbury Festival.
