Consultation on the Housing Ombudsman Business Plan 2026-27

26 March 2026

In March 2026, the Housing Ombudsman ran a consultation on their Business Plan 2026-27. At the NHF we have now submitted a response on behalf of our members, and NHF members can access this, alongside a summary on this page.

What did the consultation propose?

The consultation sought views on the Housing Ombudsman’s Business Plan 2026-27, which sets the Ombudsman’s priorities and targets for the coming year, including a three-year caseload reduction strategy and targets for response times for cases. It also sets the price of membership fees, proposing a rise from £8.03 per home to £10.56 per home going forward from April 2026.
