Decoding devolution: lessons from established housing partnerships

This webinar offers insightful discussion, showcasing the value of partnership working to deliver regional priorities and includes best practice and lessons from other regions in more developed partnerships, helping members approaching new devolved structures to develop effective and productive new structures and relationships.

With the Devolution and Community Empowerment Bill now at committee stage and expected to receive Royal Assent midway through 2026, the role of housing partnerships in consolidating and advancing regional housing asks is set to become even more significant.

Housing will be one of the key seven areas of competence for all strategic authorities, with some new authorities incorporating housing into their policy portfolio for the first time.

Speakers included housing partnership chairs Nick Atkin, Chief Executive of Yorkshire Housing and Claire Griffiths, Chief Executive of Cobalt Housing.
