Domestic abuse and joint tenancies

20 January 2022

The Social Housing White Paper makes it clear that landlords should have a policy setting out how they tackle issues surrounding domestic abuse. One aspect of it is understanding how a perpetrator’s housing circumstances can impact the safety of a victim or survivor.

During this webinar, organised by our National Domestic Abuse Core Group, we discuss perpetrator management and good practice related to joint tenancies. We also discuss how housing associations can work to ensure that their work with perpetrators does not come to a cost to the victim of domestic abuse.

Speakers

  • Deidre Cartwright, Senior Housing Manager, Standing Together/DAHA
  • Lindsay Felstead, Partner, Clarke Willmott LLP
  • Elizabeth Rowland, Housing Services Manager and Domestic Abuse Lead, Octavia
