How housing associations can support Ending Veteran homelessness webinar

24 July 2023

Veterans face specific challenges with accessing services, and waiting longer to seek help than other groups. Funded by The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, Op FORTITUDE is a UK-wide referral pathway that will work with veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to be supported into housing or supporting them to maintain their home, reach the goal of ending veteran homelessness by the end of 2024.

Housing associations can support the pathway by referring veterans to it so they can access veteran-supported housing, social housing, or mainstream social housing and have support to maintain their tenancy. They can also offer their own accommodation to help veterans move on into independent tenancies.

In this webinar hear from the Office for Veterans Affairs, Riverside, and the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust. These organisations are at the forefront of making a difference in the lives of veterans through their dedicated efforts.

Learn how housing associations can take part in the referral pathway by generating referrals for tenancy sustainment support and offering move-on accommodation to rehouse veterans.
