Knowing our homes - an introduction

12 June 2023

The Better Social Housing Review panel recommended that housing associations should work together to conduct and publish a thorough audit of all social housing in England. The NHF is working to deliver against this recommendation through a project we are calling 'Knowing our Homes'.

This is a year-long project through which we will work collaboratively with members to develop a standardised set of core indicators on property condition and resident characteristics and a broader framework for keeping an up-to-date understanding of the condition of housing association homes.

This webinar provided an update on where we are up to with this project, how it ties in with regulatory changes, and what it would mean for your organisation.

Speakers

  • Elly Hoult, Chief Operating Officer, Peabody Group
  • Will Perry, Director of Strategy, Regulator of Social Housing
  • Alistair Smyth (chair), Director of Policy and Research, National Housing Federation
  • Tim Weightman, Group Executive Director – Assets and Investments, Places for People

This webinar compliments a blog written by Annie Owens, Policy Leader at the NHF introducing the project.
