Baroness Warwick is the Chair of the National Housing Federation. She is also Chair of the Council of the Property Ombudsman. She was Chair of the Human Tissue Authority until April 2014. Before that, she was Chief Executive of Universities UK for 14 years where she led a body representing the executive heads of 130 universities, both nationally and internationally. She was a Fulbright Commissioner until last year and is a lifetime fellow of the RSA.

Sebert is currently Chair of the Karbon Homes Group, a major housing association with over 28,000 homes across the northeast and York. He has a wealth of experience of the housing association sector having previously been Chair of the Places for People Group and of its predecessor Board (North British Housing Group). During his time as Chair he led the organisation through several strategic changes, making it one of the UK’s leading housing and regeneration agencies. He has also served as Chair of the Probation Association Limited and Chair of Durham Tees Valley Probation Trust. Other current directorships include Executive Chair of Key Real Estate Limited (T/A Key Homes) and Non-Executive Director – Bagnall Court. In 1994 he was appointed OBE for his services to the Home Office where he was Development Advisor in the Probation Directorate for over 11 years.

Suzanne has an academic background with a social policy/homelessness/welfare focus. She is currently Professor of Housing and Social Policy at Heriot-Watt University and a member of Joseph Rowntree Foundation’s Anti-Poverty Task Group. She was appointed a professor at University of York at the age of 33. She is well networked in housing academic circles and will bring a strong analytical dimension to board debates.

Under Bronwen’s leadership, Onward has undergone a major organisational change programme to bring five organisations into one with much greater capacity to build new homes and to make a positive difference in the communities Onward serves.
