General election campaign launch

19 March 2024

As political parties start preparing their general election campaigns, we wanted to ensure that social housing sits at their heart. Right now, there are 8.5 million people in England who can’t access the housing they need. This includes two million children in England living in overcrowded, unaffordable, or unsuitable homes. To fix the housing crisis for good we need a future government to deliver a long-term plan for housing.

Over the past few months, we’ve been working with members to create an impactful general election campaign.

At this webinar we discussed our plans for the campaign and shared the resources we produced to help you get involved. We heard from parliamentary candidates from our sector who shared their tips on influencing during an election campaign.
