Retrofitting to net zero (webinar)

23 July 2020

There are increasing calls from all sectors for the government to deliver a coronavirus recovery plan that prioritises investment in green projects and green infrastructure. This includes investment in projects to improve energy efficiency and decarbonise homes.

We know that the housing sector faces real challenges in cutting carbon emissions, and there are significant obstacles to overcome. But now is the time for us to build back better.

In this webinar we:

  • hear about the NHF’s work and the latest developments in government policy
  • hear how housing associations are responding to the net zero challenge
  • discuss with you how the social housing sector can drive the retrofit agenda forward

Speakers:

  • Julie Alexander, Director of Technology and Innovation, Places for People
  • Nigel Wilcock, Director, Micklemore Ltd
  • Diana Lock, Head of Energy and Environment Asset Management, Optivo

The webinar was chaired by Rob Wall, Interim Policy Leader at the National Housing Federation.

Tell us what you think

To help shape our decarbonisation work, we’re seeking feedback from housing associations through a short survey. Let us know what you think by 28 August.
