Understanding flood preparedness in the sector

12 October 2026

With successive heat waves over the summer, and the real risk of flooding as rain and storms come with cooling temperatures, it is more important than ever that the sector looks to respond to flooding events and prepare for the impacts these could have on their homes and residents.

During this webinar, we heard about the work the NHF and the government are doing through the Flood Ready Taskforce to support the social housing sector in preparing for - and responding to - flooding events.

Watch to develop your understanding of flooding risks, for example, the rising risk of surface water flooding, and learn from other housing associations about different ways they have approached this, sparking inspiration and ideas you can take back to your own organisations to make progress in this work area.
