Remedial works, shared owners and sub-letting – taking a sector-wide approach

Housing associations, the government, MPs and government agencies empathise with leaseholders who can’t sell their homes because they live in buildings that need remedial works or an EWS1 form. All recognise that this is particularly difficult for shared owners, who will have to seek specific permission to sub-let their properties, which can be more challenging than for leaseholders who own their property in full.
