Investing in communities

Housing associations play a key role in their communities. Find out more about this as well as greener neighbourhoods and rural communities.

As well as providing homes across England, housing associations are not-for-profit organisations and support the growth of local areas in many ways.

Many housing associations provide homes for people with different needs including older people, those with disabilities and for people who have been homeless. Housing associations also build local partnerships to support the growth of local economies. This includes regeneration projects and support for local businesses. Many provide help with employment and skills through training and apprenticeships.
